GANGS & KNIFE CRIME
Since 2009 the PYE Project has been as leading provider of bespoke knife crime prevention programmes in South East London. We have created and delivered probation courses and provided intensive intervention to young people affected and involved with gangs and serious youth violence.
STOP & SEARCH
Since its inception, the PYE Project has retained and manifested a strong interest in the (mis)use of Stop & Search powers by the police, one of the most contentious policing tactics.
The work carried by the project around stop and search throughout the years, has confirmed that the use of this policing tool is undeniably one of the most controversial and debatable topics amongst young people.
CUSTODIAL PROVISION
We specialise in effective resettlement and violence reduction work through long term group work or one off events. Our provison can also include music production and lyric writing, which we have found highly successful as a motivator for communication with young people in custody.
CONSULTANCY
PYE offers advice and support to other service providers and outside organisations. We are able to provide a vital link between government institutions and local authorities, and the young people in the communities they work with. PYE are keen to broaden the impact of work by offering training and advice in youth engagement and effective practice.
